  everything from the moment I arrived was perfect, my room was gorgeous, very modern and warm, I had an upstairs room and only a few trees separated the room from the beach, I could sleep hearing the ocean all night long. the food was also absolutely outstanding, all the restaurants go above and beyond especially with presentation. Also the staff is exceptionally friendly- everybody was very very nice and accommodating.

  I got up at 6 am every morning to reserve some sunchairs in the shade and most of them were already taken, by 6 am ?

  The hotel grounds are beautiful. The beach is the most beautiful I've ever been on and I grew up in the South Pacific. The whole resort was just wonderful.

  The only downer was that the buffet is an outdoor one so it is very hot. Pack light clothing.

  This is our second time at Catalonia Playa Maroma, it´s the first time that we come back to the same hotel. Last year we was surprised of the high quality and incredible beach and the ocean, and this year it was even better! The small things that we wished for last year we got this time. The quality and comfort of the hotel is top of the line and the staff is service minded and friendly. We don´t like 5 star service when you never is left alone. This hotel have all service you need if you ask of it and it´s laid back and relaxing without dressing codes in the restaurants. Hotel Catalonia is children friendly but if you don´t have kids you don´t notice that it´s a family hotel. We will be back for the third time!!

  The rooms are very nice. Comfortable. The staff is very friendly. All the hotel is general is so nice. 5 restaurants. Good food. Plenty of activities. Nice beach. The lobster dinner is recommendable. Very romantic with excellent view.

  The drinks. Cheap drinks. Huge variety. But low quality.
